SUBJECT; PROPOSED REVIEW OF SCHOOL RESUMPTION AS ANNOUNCED BY THE HONOURABLE MINISTER OF EDUCATION

Dear Colleagues,
I trust you are doing well and keeping safe.
Given the information credited to the Minister of Education regarding the proposed review of resumption date of January 18th 2020 for schools in the country due to resurgence of Covid -19, we wish to announce that the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Association is equally aware of the negative impact of the impending decision should the government shut down the school again. As a result of this, the NEC has been consulting with government representatives to ensure a positive outcome for private schools in the country just as we are aware that schools in some states had already reopened.
To this end, NAPPS BOT, National Executive Council / Central Working Committee will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow Wednesday 13th January 2020 morning afternoon and evening to deliberate on this issue.
In the interim, we plead for calm and we shall communicate our position on this issue to members very soon.
