TARABA STATE NAPPS BRIEF SITUATION REPORT IN RESPECT OF COVID-19 ACTIVITIES
The Taraba State Governmental has put in place, all the necessary preventive measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Taraba State just to mention but few;
1. The security agent's and mobile court were engaged in restricting people from social gathering, movement from one place to another, no inter local government and inter state movement throughout the lockdown, some travelers who came in from other states were discovered and quarantine and 18 were victim of COVID-19 and they were treated and last patient was discharge about three weeks ago.
and also the state government are making more effort by providing additional preventive measures to combat the case of corona virus in the state.
2. Taraba State has set up COVID-19 committee headed by the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Health, Dr Vincent Vakkai.
3. The State Specialist Hospital and the Federal Medical Center both in Jalingo have each set aside a ward dedicated to COVID-19 patients.
4. Taraba State government has in addition, made provision for medical supplies to the state COVID-19 committee.
5. Access Bank plc has donated a 100 bed facility to the state government in support of government effort in combating COVID-19.
6. At the moment, there is no active COVID-19 patient in Taraba state.
Nevertheless, the lockdown is still on in the state but it has been adjusted to few days.
